OZ Lotto – the best lotto game from Australia

OZ Lotto

Currently, a lot of lottery games are played in the world. Each has its unique features and a point of attraction to players. Oz Lotto is one of the existing lottery games. In this article, we will provide you with all you need to know about this game. Just read on.

WHAT IS OZ LOTTO?

Oz Lotto was introduced in 1994 as the first Australian national lotto game and has sustained popularity because of its large jackpots. One of the largest Oz Lotto jackpots is $100,000,000 sometime in December 2013, where 1 in 3 Australian adults bought a ticket.

In Oz Lotto, there is only one barrel of 45 balls numbered from 1 to 45 to be drawn, unlike other lotteries where we have barrels.

In this game, 9 balls are selected at random from the 45 balls numbered 1 to 45. The first 7 balls are considered to be the winning numbers while the final 2 balls are the supplementary numbers. These supplementary numbers are used to determine prizes in Divisions 2, 4, and 7.

WAYS TO PLAY OZ LOTTO

Oz Lotto can be played in many ways. To play a standard entry you would have to select 7 numbers (from 1 to 45) in each game panel.

Here are the three possible ways to play Oz Lotto. Your choice would depend on the outcome you expect. You can play Oz Lotto online at LottoPark.

  1. Standard Entries

For standard entries, you can decide to play a Quick Pick or a Marked Entry. A Quick Pick is known to be the easiest way to play. All you have to do is to choose the number of games you’d like to play and then sit back and watch numbers randomly generated for you.

A marked entry gives you the liberty to play the numbers that are mean a lot to you. There is still room for you to choose the number of games you would like to play. You are free to mark up to 18 games on a coupon in-store or up to 50 games when playing online or through the Lott App. Since playing online offers you an opportunity to play more games, you can play Oz Lotto online at LottoPark.

  1. System & Pick Entries

System and Pick entries create more chances for you to win, including the chance to win across the available prize divisions.

A System entry allows you to play more than the standard 7 numbers in Oz Lotto. So you can choose from 8 to 20 numbers and this gives you more chances to win. Also, it provides the chance to win across the existing prize divisions.

A Pick entry assures you of either 1 or 2 winning numbers. Having 1 or 2 certain winning numbers steps up your winning chances, plus the chance to win across the existing prize divisions.

  1. Advance Entries

When you’ve chosen your Oz Lotto entry type, you can equally choose the draws and number of weeks you’d like to play. If you plan to go on a holiday or you don’t have the luxury of time to buy a ticket online or in-store towards the opening of a draw, there is a system for you to plan and schedule your entry with either an Advance entry, Multi-week entry or set-up a Subscription. These three options have their unique spots. Let’s take a look at them.

An Advance entry allows you to play your favorite game in a future draw, up to 10 weeks in advance.

A Multi-week entry allows you to play your entry across multiple draws. You can decide to play up to 10 consecutive Oz Lotto draws.

A Subscription entry allows you to automatically enter every draw or at a certain Oz Lotto jackpot level and they help you not to miss out on any draw.

HOW DO I CHECK MY OZ LOTTO TICKET?

Oz Lotto is open for draws every Tuesday night and is announced at approximately 8:30 pm AEST (9:30 pm AEDT) on Channel 7 and affiliated regional stations.

Oz Lotto winning numbers are usually disclosed no later than 9:00 pm (AEST) via the Lott website. You can check your Oz Lotto ticket online, in-store, or scan your ticket using the Lott App.

You can also check the OZ Lotto results and winning numbers here at LottoPark.

HOW TO WIN OZ LOTTO?

For you to win Division 1 in Oz Lotto (the Jackpot prize), your entry must match 7 numbers perfectly in a single game panel with the 7 winning numbers from that draw. Still, you can win a prize with just 3 winning numbers and 1 supplementary number in a single game.

You can redeem your Oz Lotto prize online or in-store. This is subject to the prize amount and where your ticket was bought.
