How to play Ötöslottó
Ötöslottó is a 5/90 lottery: on each line you pick 5 numbers from 1 to 90. You can choose them yourself or use Quick Pick for a random selection. One line costs 500 Ft in Hungary (the official price since 8 August 2026); at LottoPark the price is shown in your account currency.
The Ötöslottó draw is held once a week, every Saturday at 18:45 Budapest time. Your line wins a prize if at least 2 of the drawn numbers match your numbers.
Ötöslottó prizes and odds
There are four prize tiers. All of them are pari-mutuel – the amounts are not fixed but depend on ticket sales and on the number of winners in each tier.
| Matching numbers | Odds of winning | Share of the prize fund* |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | 1 in 43,949,268 | 53.5% |
| 4 | 1 in 103,410 | 8% |
| 3 | 1 in 1,231 | 8.5% |
| 2 | 1 in 44 | 30% |
* The prize fund is 40–60% of the sales of each draw. The shares shown apply when the prize fund is 60% of sales.
The Ötöslottó jackpot
To win the jackpot you need to match all 5 numbers – the odds are 1 in 43,949,268. If nobody does, the jackpot rolls over to the next draw and keeps growing. There is no guaranteed jackpot: its size is the result of ticket sales and the number of rollovers, so it can climb high after a series of draws without a winner.
Ötöslottó history
Ötöslottó has been part of Hungarian life since its first draw on 7 March 1957 – almost seven decades of draws. Today it is run by Szerencsejáték Zrt., the Hungarian state lottery company.
